DEG ADDS 11 NEW MEMBER COMPANIES

LOS ANGELES (February 4, 2008) --DEG: The Digital Entertainment Group announced 11 new companies that have joined the organization.  Monster Cable and Digeo have joined as Regular Members, while 3ality Digital, Capgemini, Cinram, Distribution Video & Audio (DVA), Ingram Entertainment, Media Control GfK, PaperFoam, Related Content Database (RCDb) and Simplay Labs are Associate Members.  The DEG now boasts 60 member companies.

Digeo creates state-of-the-art home entertainment technologies, including digital media platforms and services.

Monster Cable is a leading manufacturer of high performance cables that connect audio/video components for home, car and professional use as well as computers and computer games. 

3ality Digital is an integrated entertainment company dedicated to high-quality live-action 3D feature films and commercials.

Capgemini is one of the world’s foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, including providing strategy, technology and outsourcing across the media value chain for entertainment companies. 

Cinram is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of pre-recorded media, including DVD, CD-Audio and CD-ROM. Cinram provides fully integrated supply chain solutions for the motion picture, music, and software and video game industries. 

Distribution Video & Audio is a family-owned and operated business that is a secondary wholesaler for the entertainment industry, specializing in the buying and selling of excess inventory.

Ingram Entertainment is a leading national distributor of home entertainment products, including DVDs, video game hardware and software, audio books and electronics.

Media Control GfK, a joint venture between Media Control and GfK, provides international data and analysis for entertainment media, including DVDs, games software, music and books.

PaperFoam provides green packaging solutions for CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray Discs. PaperFoam trays are made of natural renewable materials, 100 percent paper-recyclable, and significantly reduce carbon footprint.

The Related Content Database is a globally accessible merchandising resource for digital music and video retailers. RCDb also just introduced two new Blu-ray feature platforms – BD Live and BD Magic.

Simplay Labs is leading an industry-wide effort to make high definition products perform more powerfully and reliably when interconnected, delivering an integrated seamless user experience.
