30 Jul DEG Canon Club Salon: Leading with Empathy
Clockwise from top left: Roach, Grotto and Neighbors
July 27, 2021 | Edelman’s Cydney Roach, Global Chair of Employee Experience and Elena Grotto, EVP Business Transformation were joined by Bill Neighbors, Chief Content Officer at Xperi Corporation, for an engaging conversation around the timely topic of creating an empathic culture at work. The discussion focused on how empathy fosters innovation and collaboration, increases morale, helps employees excel in their role, while also supporting the company’s bottom line. They shared that empathy should be a cultural norm, built into the company values. And while empathy must come from the top it also needs to be owned at all levels – it is a skill that can be learned.
