September 8, 2022 | OMDIA: According to Q2 financial reporting, Disney Streaming has become the world’s largest streaming company, with 221.1 million subscriptions across all of its streaming services Disney+, Disney+ Hotstar, ESPN+, and Hulu against Netflix’s 220.7 million. Although total Disney owned services put Disney as the market leader, Netflix still has the most subscriptions of any streaming service globally. With the loss of the cricket IPL rights coming, Hotstar may see up to 30 percent churn as a consequence. Will Netflix return as the market leader? Learn more here.
