Screen Engine/ASI Top 20 VOD Premiere Movies* 1.31.22: ‘The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild’ Captures Top Spot

WEEKLY TOP WATCHED VOD PREMIERE MOVIES according to PostVOD by Screen Engine/ASI*

January 31, 2022 | This week on the SEA Top VOD Premiere Movies (video on demand) list, Disney’s exclusive streaming film, The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild, a spin-off sequel to the previous movie in the franchise, debuted at No. 1. Warner Bros.’ The Matrix Resurrections premiered for its PVOD/EEST window and moved up to No. 2 with strong viewership, well ahead of the rest PVOD/EEST titles. Streaming exclusively on HBO Max, Warner Bros.’ The Fallout came in at No. 3, Netflix’s Home Team followed closely, entering the list at No. 4. Another premiere movie, Universal’s The 355 (EEST) rounded out at No. 8. With new debuts coming in on top, Amazon’s Hotel Transylvania: Transformania shifted down to No. 5 for the first time on its third week, Disney’s Encanto (EEST/SVOD) and Netflix’s Don’t Look Up dropped to No. 6 and No. 7, respectively. 

For top cumulative streaming viewership, same as last week, Netflix’s Don’t Look Up continued to lead the pack at No. 1, Disney’s Encanto stood at No. 2, ahead of Amazon’s Hotel Transylvania: Transformania at No. 3.
